Abstract

This review presents the book Percursos para a pesquisa em filosofia. Aimed at undergraduate students, the book’s central objective is to encourage reflection on the most appropriate paths for philosophical research. Its chapters address fundamental topics such as techniques, methods, and the main lines of investigation in the field of philosophy. It is, therefore, an essential work for those engaged in philosophical research — a field still marked by a scarcity of specialized scientific literature.

Author Biography

  • Rodrigo Petit, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP)

    Master in Education from UNICAMP. Professionally working as a teacher, he has experience as an online research practice advisor, Philosophy teacher, and school principal. In academic research, he focuses on the field of Education, with interest in studies on the following topics: a) history of pedagogy in Brazil: educational policies, b) scientific research in education: methods and epistemologies. Additionally, he conducts studies in Metaphilosophy, focusing on the following questions: a) What is philosophy? b) How should it be practiced? c) Why should we practice it? Metaphilosophy is an emerging academic discipline that studies the nature, methods, and value of philosophical activity itself. In short, a philosophy of philosophy. Rodrigo is also a writer and has participated in two literary awards. In 2023, he won the ''O Poeta Resiste III'' contest. In 2015, he won at ''50 FEMUP'' (Paranavaí Festival of Music and Poetry).
