Abstract

Philosophy allows us to increasingly look at the awakening of critical consciousness, which is why this first issue of 2026 brings a very intriguing and fascinating theme about Existence, Praxis, and Human Values. In turn, we are bringing to the esteemed reader original articles rich in philosophical foundations. From this perspective, we are pleased to provide everyone with enjoyable readings so that we can promote the value of philosophical knowledge more and better in a constantly changing society. However, it is important to emphasize that these reflections and analyses put us ahead of our time, motivating us to read, study, and create to transform the conception or worldview here and now in history. May the reader feel increasingly motivated and open to new philosophical debates.

Author Biography

  • Ermano Rodrigues do Nascimento, Universidade Católica de Pernambuco

    Professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (PPGFIL/UNICAP), desde de 2020. Licenciatura em Filosofia pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (UNICAP). Mestrado em Filosofia Social e Política pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Doutorado em Ciências da Educação pela Universidade do Porto (UPORTO/Portuga). Faz parte da Linha de Pesquisa em Ética, Fundamentação Moral e Valores Humanos, com projeto de pesquisa em Bioética: desafios ético-morais na contemporaneidade a partir da concepção de corpo, suas possibilidades e limites existenciais no contexto da medicina e da biomedicina, como também, com o projeto de pesquisa sobre Ética e Bioética: da teoria à prática para a promoção humana como práxis humana a partir das políticas públicas humanísticas na sociedade brasileira, ligado ao projeto guarda-chuva: Pensar, falar e agir: interfaces entre epistemologia, linguagem e ética – fase II, também como coordenador. Membro do grupo de pesquisa CNPQ: Corpo, Fenomenologia e Genealogia. Sua atuação está relacionada aos temas: filosofia, bioética, ética e sociedade, políticas públicas, cidadania, Estado, democracia e filosofia política. Membro do Comitê de Ética (CEP/UNICAP). Editor Científico da revista Ágora Filosófica do PPGFIL/UNICAP. Avaliador de artigos e Membro da Comissão Científica da Revista Instante/UEPB. Avaliador de artigos da Revista Prometheus/UFS.
