Abstract

Este artigo tem por objetivo pesquisar acerca da formação dos conceitos no pensamento de Guilherme de Ockham. A principal teoria defendida é a de que os atos mentais são responsáveis pela formação dos conceitos. Enquanto empirista e lógico, Ockham se preocupa em desenvolver uma teoria que explique a formação e apreensão dos conceitos em conformidade com a sua ontologia minimalista e seu posicionamento nominalista. Através da teoria dos atos mentais, nosso autor desenvolve uma teoria de formação dos conceitos que prescinde das explicações usuais de formação de conceito por abstração
