This text delas with the relationships between Bible and Theology and between Exegesis and Theology, or the relationships between biblical studies and theological studies, or even the relationships between exegetes and theologians. The theme es approached within the framework of the celebrations, in 2023, of the 130th years of the Encyclical Letter Providentissimus Deus, the 80th years of the Encyclical Letter Divino Afflante Spiritu and the 30th years of the document The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church. The objective is to show how important these documents were in advancing biblical studies within the Catholic Church, which felt a real delay in this field of studies. The methodology took as a starting point the reading of these documents, but also sought to contemplate what would be specific in the formation of a biblical scholar who lives in the geographic and existential peripheries of the current world. The result reached is that the work that every biblical scholar is called to carry out takes place in dialogue, which, for those who are located on the geographical and existencial peripheries, occurs from the concrete life situations of the creation.
